Justin Drew Bieber, prominently recognized as a Canadian R&B/Pop songwriter-singer/actor was born on March 1, 1994. Born in the city of London, Ontario Justin grew up in the city of Stratford. Patricia Lynn “Pattie” Mallette (his mother) was only 18 years when she conceived Justin and entertained various low-wagered office jobs, raising the idol as a single parent.
In Bieber’s earlier years of development, he exemplified a keen interest in soccer, chess and hockey. Justin also entertained himself with playing the guitar, piano, trumpet and drums, but kept his singing aspirations self-contained. By age twelve, Bieber entertained an audience in a local singing competition hosted in the year 2007 with Ne-Yo’s “So Sick,” where he placed second. Bieber’s mother continued to upload various videos to share with family members and friends on YouTube, but an unexpected click on his video changed everything.
A former marketing “So So Def” executive, Scooter Braun accidentally discovered Justin’s videos in 2007, while browsing for videos of another singer on YouTube. Braun was impressed with Bieber’s presentation and got in contact with Justin’s mother, and after a meeting with Bieber, Braun became his professional manager. A later meeting took place between Bieber and Usher in the city of Atlanta, Georgia. At the conclusion of that meeting, Bieber was contracted to the Raymond Braun Media Group, which is a shared venture between Usher and Braun and later signing a recording contract with L.A. Ried of Island Records. Bieber and his mother later gained temporary residence in Atlanta, Georgia to pursue his musical career.
Bieber topped the worldwide charts in various categories promoting songs such as “One Time” and “One Less Lonely Girl which are both big hits, along with promo singles, “Love Me” and “Favorite Girl.””One Less Lonely Girl” declared prominence in being a certified Platinum, Double Platinum and Gold record in the United States, the UK and Canada respectively. “My World” was later certified as a Double Platinum record in the United Kingdom and Canada, while receiving a Platinum recognition in the United States.
On March 23rd, 2010, Bieber released “My World 2.0” which was his first studio album and its success turned it in to an international hit.. The album topped the charts in various countries and was recognized as a certified platinum record throughout the United States. In January of 2010, the song “Baby” topped the charts worldwide and its video is the most heard of and viewed on YouTube.
Justin is an artist featured on various live shows, which includes he Wendy Williams Show, YTV's The Next Star, BET's 106 & Park with Rihanna, True Jackson, VP, Chelsea Lately, The Dome, Lopez Tonight, The Today Show, Good Morning America, The Ellen DeGeneres Show, MTVU's VMA 09 Tour and It's On with Alexa Chung.
Justin also performed for the current U.S. president and his first lady for Christmas in Washington, which was hosted at the White House singing Stevie Wonder’s Someday at Christmas, which was broadcasted on TNT. This young idol has participated in various charities to aid countries across the world such as Haiti.
"Baby" featuring Ludacris is one of Justin’s lead singles on his album “My World 2.0”and is currently the biggest hit for the artist thus far. “U Smile” and “Never Let You Go” are promo singles favored by many, hitting the top twenty and Hot 100 in Canada and the United States respectively. Bieber is recognized as the youngest male solo artist to top the charts, since Stevie Wonder in the year 1963. The album was recognized for its versatility holding a firm number one spot on Irish Albums Chart, New Zealand Albums Chart, Canadian Albums Chart and Australian Albums Chart. The album also hosts a spot in the top ten charts for various countries worldwide.
