Britney Spears mp3

The pop sensation Britney Spears was born on December 2, 1981 and from an early age showed that she was destined for stardom. At the age of three, she proved what she was destined for stardom, chosen for a solo performance her dance school’s annual recital. Besides dancing lessons, Spears also took gymnastics and voice lessons. The little girl took part in and won state-level competitions and talent shows. She made first stage debut at five singing “What Child is this?” at her kindergarten graduation. When she was eight Spears with her mother, Lynne Irene (née Bridges) left her father, James Parnell Spears, and siblings, Bryan James and Jamie Lynn, to audition for the 1990s revival of “The Mickey Mouse Club” in Atlanta. Even though too young to participate in the show the trip saw Spears meet Nancy Carson, a talent agent, who suggested she attend the Professional Performing Arts School which led mother and daughters to move to New York. In the “Big Apple” Spears was hired as an understudy for an Off-Broadway musical, competed in the television talent show “Star Search” and was eventually cast in “The Mickey Mouse Club.” The cancellation of the show brought her back to her hometown of Kentwood, Louisiana.

Following her ambition, family friend and entertainment attorney Larry Rudolph, recorded a professional demo that she pitched to executives from four labels. Two weeks later “Jive Records” appointed her to Eric Foster White who helped her record material that led the president of “Jive Records”, Clive Calder, to order a full album. Half the album was recorded in Cheiron Studios in Stockholm, Sweden from March to April 1998. Back in the US and until the release of her debut album, “Baby One More Time” in January 1999, Spears did a shopping mall promotional tour and went on tour as an opening act for 'N Sync. “Baby One More Time” hit the charts hard, reaching number one in fifteen countries. The album was certified double platinum after one month and become the best selling album ever by a teenager artist. The title track was a huge sensation becoming the fastest-selling single ever by a female artist. The equally successful “Baby One More Time Tour” and its extension tour, “Crazy 2k” followed the album’s success. Not long after in May 2000 her second studio album “Oops! I Did It Again” hit the stands selling over 20 million copies worldwide. The promotional “Oops! I Did It Again World Tour” grossed $40.5 million. The same year Spears also published her first book, “Britney Spears' Heart-to-Heart”.

The year 2001 proved yet another great year for the pop star as she signed a multimillion promotional deal with “Pepsi,” published her second book titled “A Mother’s Gift,” and released her third studio album “Britney” which debuted at number one in the “Billboard 200” and sold over 12 million copies worldwide. The promotional “Dream within a Dream Tour” grossed $43.7 million. Spears’ acting career also took off with her landing her first starring role in the film “Crossroads.” Her fourth studio album, “In the Zone” debuted yet again in number one; Spears became the first female artist with four top charting albums. “In the Zone” sold over 10 million copies worldwide. The album’s promotional “The Onyx Hotel Tour” started in March 2004 but a knee injury in June forced the cancellation of the remainder of the tour.

“Greatest Hits: My Prerogative” her first collection album was released in November 2004. The album sold over 5 million copies worldwide. Spears had another major success with the release of her first perfume with Elizabeth Arden, “Curious.” The fragrance’s sales were through the roof making it the company’s bestselling fragrance. A remix compilation album, “B in the Mix: The Remixes”, hit the store’s in November 2005. She also guest starred in the T.V series “Will & Grace” and posed for the cover of “Harpers Bazaar.” However, despite her professional success Spears acquired a substance abuse problem and completed a month-long rehabilitation program. The pop star returned, performing a series of hit concerts at the “House of Blues” titled “The M+M’s Tour” and releasing her fifth studio album, “Blackout.” “Blackout” won “Album of the Year Award” at the M.T.V. Europe Music Awards 2008. However, her personal problems continued to be an influencing factor and Spears was committed to the psychiatric ward at Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Centre and released in February 2008. A documentary, “Spears: For the Record” was produced to document her return to the recording industry garnering 5.6 million viewers across its double airing on its premier night.

Spears has bounced back from this low point has moved onwards and upwards. In March 2008, she appears in the T.V. Series “How I Meet Your Mother” bringing the series its highest ratings. She went on to win “Best Female Video”, “Best Pop Video” and “Video of the Year” at the M.T.V. Video Music Awards. “Circus” At the end of 2008, her sixth studio album debuted again at the top of the charts earning the pop star a place in the “Guinness Book of World Records.” The album’s “The Circus Starring Britney Spears Tour” started in March 2009 and brought in $131.8 million. A second greatest hits album, “The Singles Collection”, as well as a series of applications for iPhone and iPod Touch. She also appeared in an episode or the T.V. Series “Glee.” “Femme Fatal” Spears’ latest album was released in March 2011. The album’s first single made history as it made her the second artist to have two debut singles at number-one in a row.

Britney Spears’ accomplishments have rightfully gained her a place in music history, and history in general, as her fans await her next string of hit singles and albums.
